OK, there’s no denying it any longer. Christmas is just around the corner. So, if you’ve not yet planned your holiday freight schedule, it’s time to get your ice skates on.
Like most freighters, at Plexus we like to thank our amazing team with a decent Christmas break. And after the year that has been 2020, they all very much deserve it.
So, what do you need to know if you’re looking to transport freight with Plexus in the coming month?
Plexus Freight’s Christmas Holiday Schedule
Italy – Groupage
- In w/c 7th of December all collections will be regular. Goods collected by the 9th could be delivered (latest) by the 18th. Goods collected by the 11th could be delivered (latest) by the 21st.
- In w/c 14th of December collections will be regular but goods need to be available by the 15th in order to guarantee delivery by the end of the year. We won’t be able to ship anything that will be available after the 15th (in order to avoid delays/problems with BREXIT).
- In w/c 4th of January collections will be scaled down. Goods collected during w/c 4th of January could be delivered by the 18th.
- Goods collected from the 1st of January onwards will be subjected to BREXIT regulations.
Due to BREXIT, all goods that are collected in December, need to arrive in the UK by the end of the year so we strongly suggest you adhere to the above schedule.
Spain – Groupage
- Last collections from Spain will be on 7th of December, anything collected in w/c the 7th will most likely deliver in the new year depending on current delays.
- In the new year we expect to start collecting again from the 4th of January with the typical lead time of 10 working days

- Last departure – 18.12.2020
- First departure in the new year – 08.01.2021
Spain – GB
2 Day Service

- First departure in the new year – 05.01.2021
Germany – GB
2 Day Service

Please note that while we will make every effort to adhere to these schedules, with the potential for Brexit-related disruptions in the near-future, there is the possibility of some delays and changes occurring. So, please contact us prior to making any time-sensitive bookings, just to be on the safe side.
Covid-19 notwithstanding, it’s been a tremendously busy year for Plexus Freight. The demand for logistics support has been enormous. And on top of that, we’ve even managed to revamp the website, adding new functionality and improved accessibility. 2021 looks set to be equally fruitful for the business… Here’s just hoping that it is for everyone else too, with no more global events to navigate.
