Cross-Trade Shipping

Cross-trade shipping is defined as any freight movements that do not have Great Britain as either the origin or destination point. Therefore, it could be a shipment from Portugal to France or Italy to Germany, for example. Due to our activity in the European freight industry since 1995, we have partnered with many of Europe’s leading freight transporters. This allows us to ship cargo around Europe without having to import the goods into the UK first. There are very few instances where it is cost-effective to ship into the UK and then back out to Europe. This is why we have spent so much time developing our cross-trade solutions, because not only are these transports often cheaper for our clients, but the transit times are often greatly reduced.

Where possible we encourage our clients to ship this way to save them time and money. We transport this way due to the volumes of cargo, as we can use a wide range of logistical solutions, such as road, sea and multimodal services.
